The best beaches of Sicily. Part II

During the first part of the post, BlogoItaliano continues his journey through the largest island of Italy, trying to find the most worthy beaches. And Sicily is famous for them, like no other direction in Italy. It is not in vain that in our improvised ranking of the best beaches in Italy, the first three places occupied the coast from the homeland of the Mafia.

The best sands of the north-eastern part of Sicily is famous for the resort of Mortelle. Located 12km north of Messina, it is a favorite vacation spot for its residents, where they come to life after a city breathing in the heat.

Mortelle beaches

Mortella has several great beaches, including Lido de Tirreno beach (Lido Dei Tirreno) - ideal for families with children. In addition, in the vicinity of Mortelle there are many small beaches that will appeal to those seeking to relax in peace and quiet.

Beaches of Giardini-Naxos

Near Taormina Giardini Naxos - A sea resort with a sandy beach, which has recently been successfully competing with its eminent neighbor.

Lacking the charm of Taormina, it is nevertheless famous for its good hotels, beautiful pools and excellent restaurants. Giardini Naxos is known in Italy as an ideal destination for family vacations.

Zingaro beaches (Riserva naturale parco dello Zingaro)

Park reserve Zingaro - one of the most beautiful corners of western Sicily. It stretches for 7 km from the small medieval village of Scopello in the east almost to San Vito Lo Capo in the west. Here, the sea, worked as a natural sculptor, created many wonderful bays and grottoes in hard limestone rocks. Under the cliffs overhanging the azure sea, there are delightful beaches with clear turquoise water. In the summer, when many beaches are crowded, you can spend time relatively solitary in Zingaro.

On the beaches of Zingaro, even in summer you can find a secluded place

Guidaloca Beach (Spiaggia Guidaloca)

For those who are looking for a quiet alternative to the crowded resorts of Sicily, one of the most successful choices is sand and pebble Guidaloca beachlocated on the shores of Castellamare Bay, 3 km from the village of Scopello. Although Guidaloca resists globalization, vacationers can find typical beach services here: sun loungers, water sports equipment, a bar, etc.

Scopello Beach

The local beach in the traditional Sicilian village of Skopello on the west coast of the island is a secluded bay in the setting of warm stone. Scopello Beach noteworthy mint water and air saturated with aromas of eucalyptus. Skopello Beach is an ideal place for lovers of a relaxing holiday and privacy.

From Skoglitti it is easy to get to the beautiful coasts of Bianco Piccolo and Bahia del Sole. The highlight of this area is that it provides a wide selection of beaches, among which you can choose the least crowded during the peak season.
